120 Years anniversary

BROEN Clorius Controls has a long history in valves and this year we celebrate 120 years of engineering and innovation.

Clorius Controls was founded back in 1902 as the two brothers Odin and Axel Clorius invented the world’s first thermostatic valve. Since then Clorius Controls has been experts in temperature controls and we supply high quality and energy efficient valve solutions for marine and power applications.

Our products come with a long lifetime and low cost of ownership and they require minimal maintenance.

Important milestones since the beginning.

1902:
The world’s first thermostatic valve.



1924:
Odin Clorius started marketing of the well-known evaporation meters and accounting systems used for measurement and settlement of heat and hot water consumption.

1953:
First export.

1974:
Bought by ISS.

1983:
Introduction of magnetic conductive energy meter.
 
1994:
Sold to Raab Karcher Services GmbH.

1998:
Sold to Aalberts N.V.
 
2000:
The company changes its name from Odin Control Systems to Clorius Controls A/S.

2004:
International expansion
Establishment of sales office in China.

2007:
Entering the Russian market
Establishment of sales office in Russia (with our sister company BROEN).

2008:
New production facilities
Relocation of our production facilities, from Denmark to Poland.

2012:
Entering the Indian market
Establishment of sales representation in India.

2014:
Establishment of sales office in Singapore and relocation of our headquarters near Copenhagen Airport.

2018:
Moved from Copenhagen to BROEN in Assens.

2018:
Sales office and inventory in USA.

2020:
New TREX thermostatic control valve.

2020:
New steam valve.
